Therapy Services
Every child struggles with reading for a different reason.
Some have trouble hearing sounds, others decoding
words, or understanding what they read. At Brandon
Reading Clinic, we start by identifying the root cause of
your child’s difficulty. Then we design a program tailored
to your child, which may draw from Lindamood-Bell,
Orton-Gillingham, or a combination of both. Each plan is
flexible and adjusted as your child progresses, ensuring
instruction meets them where they are and builds
confidence as an independent reader.

Our Blended Approach
We use a combination of two highly effective approaches—Lindamood-Bell and Orton-Gillingham—because reading is not just one skill.

Lindamood-Bell builds the foundation—helping students hear sounds, recognize words, and understand what they read.
Orton-Gillingham provides the structure—teaching students how sounds and letters work together to read and spell.
Each student begins with a comprehensive assessment, which helps us determine where to start within each program.
Our therapists use prescriptive, individualized instruction and continually adjust the plan based on how your child responds and progresses.
By using both, we meet each student where they are and address the root of their difficulty,
not just one piece of the puzzle.
